Rock On Movie Review

I saw this movie(Rock on) yesterday, and I am somehow not able to judge it very well. After I came out of the theater, I went back to all the things being portrayed in the flick, and thought it was a very influential movie signifying some of the very bitter truths of life, when out of the desire to reach at the top, the smallest of tiffs affects your life big time.

It is a story about this band called Magic, made up by Arjun Rampal as the lead guitarist, Farhan Akhtar as the singer, Luke Kenny on the synthesizer and Purab Kohli on the drums. It deals with their biggest dream to cut an album and what all they have to compromise for it. Some parts of the movie are way too emotional. It is a better movie for those who have been in close touch with the rock culture.

I loved Purab Kohli’s role. Prachi aka Bani was the perfect casting for the too sweet to be true role and who knows she might start a great career thanks to rock on!! The music could have been better keeping the rock elements in mind. It is surely a must watch of the weekend.

Hari Puttar sued

I thought only people like Rakhi Sawant could put up allegations on people for instant fame…But oh my gosh…Here I see, Warner Bros, the label behind the surer dupre hit Hollywood series, Harry Potter, which is based on JK Rowling’s novel is suing a Bollywood film, Hari Puttar-a comedy of terrors. Reason: The name is very close to the Hollywood flick’s name!!

As we had updated you people earlier, Hari Puttar is about a boy names Hari Prasad Dhoonda, nicknamed Hari Puttar, who shifts to Britain when his father is posted there.
His aim is to save this very confidential chip that comprises of some of the most valuable information about his dad’s findings, but the boy, unlike Harry Potter, does not have any magical powers.

The movie is being produced by Mirchi Movies, which states that any resemblance to the Hollywood series is purely coincidental. Mr. Manish, chief of Mirchi Movies also expressed that he did not see any kind of similarities between the two films. Same were the words on the lips of Zain Khan, the lead star kid.

Ab in gore logon ko kya samjhaein, hamare desh ka sabse common naam Hari hai, to usme hamari kya galti hai!!! Sue them for them….Jokes!!

Dil Kabaddi: Hindi Movie

Irfan Khan is making a lot of news these days. Be it for his Billoo Barber or the umpteen films in his hands, he sure is a celeb in all the limelight.

Irfan Khan is on a new project named Dil Kabaddi, which he calls an out an out adult film. It deals with the relationship of a man and a woman and the amount of honesty and dishonesty in it. He plays the character of a guy who is sexually quite adventurous and it is heard that he was so excited out the role that he exchanged it with Rahul Bose. He expresses his eagerness to play such a challenging role for he says he has never played something like this before and explains that the movie would be a must watch for all the adult couples who have been trying to find emotional and sexual satisfactions from others.

His next film is Billoo Barber with Shah Rukh Khan.

Rock On Movie Review Hindi

Completely Rock On !!!! today released movie is Rock On, debut of Dil Chahta Hai fame director Farhan Akhtar and tv serial actress Prachi Desai. Rock On is based upon the youth genre and their relationship and friendship. Director Abhishek Kapoor has successfully given a better treatment of the film. he used the young talent skillfully and makes a entertaining movie with human sentiments. Young generation likes such movies as we saw that ppl like the last movie on youth Jaane tu yaa Janne naa.

Rock On is the story about four freinds(Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, Luke Kenny) who want to put thogether the best band India has ever seen but fails to make it and years later they all come together and try to fulfill their dreams again. Music is very good and Shankar Ehsaan Loy again produce good music which will be top on the chart in coming weeks.

Arjun Rampal shows he is enough experienced to work with other naive. Perhaps his best performance since his debut. Prachi Desai was good and she has proved that she is able to work in big screen as well. She played the role of Frahan Akhtar's wife and I like her role in the movie.

Purab Kohli was also good in the movie and got enough coverage unlike his past movies. Luke Kenny is the new name to bollywood and I like him the way he worked in the Rock On. Shahana Goswami is a talented gal and her performance was one of the most challenging for any newcomer and she showed enough confidence.

C company: comedy errors

Ekta Kapoor's one more effort for her dearest brother Tusshar Kapoor is forthcoming movie C Kkompany or C Company. The movie C Kkompany is under production of Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor which is releasing in this weekend. Movie star cast i think is not a capable enough to draw the attention of the people such as Tusshar Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Raima Sen and humorous Rajpal Yadav.

The film is directed by Sachin Yardi who has been able to agree the filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt for the acting in the film also. The film C Kkompany is about three characters who are very common and realistic men. One Akshay Kumar is a crime reporter, the other Mr.Joshi retired accountant and third one named Lambodar are good friends. They all have some problems in their lives but they find solace in each other company. For controlling their problems they are decided to play a harmless prank. Now the things getting changed and some surprising incidents comes in their way.

"The queen of soaps" Ekta had few earlier flop movies like Krishna Cottage, Kya Cool Hai Hum and Ssssh Koi Hai besides all this she never consider herself as a failure filmmaker. This is also in rumors the veteran actor Mithun Chakroborty acts in the film as a Don and TV star Bahu Sakshi Tanwar (Parvati) also present in the film for few minutes.

Nethra Raghuraman- winner of Khatron ke Khiladi

There was a lot of hype about the reality show, Khatron ke Khiladi which was an Indian version of the Fear Factor, especially about Akshay Kumar hosting the show and his freaky ways to scare the girls who had participated in the deadly reality show. After a very tough fight between the very strong female contestants, Nethra Raghuraman won the series and the cash prize. Surprisingly, most of her viewers thought the complete show ruler was Yana Gupta who proved her strength and daring by breaking a world record in one of the stunts, but Nethra got to have the last laugh.

Nehtra, a model turned actress is supposedly scared of heights and does not know how to swim but performed all the stunned that included such things with all the daredevilry. Explaining this, she stated that she came on to the show to have fun, and as and wen the days passed, she started enjoying every bit of the madness in the stunts. She also gives a good amount of credit to the mentor, Akshay Kumar, who was a big support in lifting their spirits.

She accepted that the prize money of 50 lakhs that she has won means a lot to her for she was in desperate need of money for a special reason she did not want to disclose to the public. But, she also states that the money is not enough to completely monetize that special thing and she might have to take up a loan.

Pa hindi movie

The director of Cheeni Kum, which starred Tabu and Amitabh, Bal Krishnan, is back with his second feature film, after his debut hit. The film is titled “Pa”. As the name suggests, the film is about a father and son relationship. And hence the most loved father and son Jodi have been roped in to play the role, i.e. Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan. Interesting, we got to know, Abhishek calls father Amitabh pa, in real life as well. The director informed that it is a light hearted comedy. This will the duo’s upcoming film together after the super hit Sarkar raj.

Zora Saihgal and Paresh Rawal are also roped in for prominent characters. Bal Krishnan, before entering into film direction, was a famous advertisement’s director. The movie is slated to be released later this year.

It is like, when people fail terribly in their specific lines, they find better ways to prove themselves. I guess that is what these two actors are up to.

We hear that Govinda plans to take up singing…that too professionally!! He has recorded a track for his upcoming movie Loot which is being made under the banner of Popcorn Entertainment limited. The song is titled Heeng Lage Na Fitkari Rang Chokhka Hoy. Shamir, who is the composer, is quite happy of chi chi’s singing skills.

Coming up to the macho John Abraham. From what we hear, it is to be believed thatthe hunk has taken up production. He would be producing Abbas Tyrewalla’s next film and acting in it as well. The flick is related to man woman relationships written by Tyrewalla.

Fantastic hindi movie

The script writer of Maine Pyar Kyun Kia and Partner, Sanjay Chael is all set for his next directorial film. Remember Khoobsoorat?? Starring Urmila Matondkar and Sanjay Dutt??? It had the song--- Ae Shivani, tu lagti hai nani!!!! That was one of Sanjay’s directorial products.

Sanjay’s next movie titled Fantastic has a very unique lead pair in the form of Konkana Sen Sharma and Paresh Rawal. According to me, it was quite a clever move to take these two in the film as both of them are very fine actors and might just grab a lot of fan following into the theatres to watch this one. Other that these two, the movie also has Neha Dhupia, Javed Jaffery and Rahul Khanna.

Paresh Rawal, this Friday faced a big flop in the form of Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam and we hope he does not screw up things in his future projects.

What’s your Rashi hindi movie Raashi

Ashutosh Gowarikar, the ace director is back on the news headlines with his next venture title Whats Your Rashi. It is believed that the main star of the film is Priyanka Chopra aka Piggy Chops who gets to play 12 different roles in a single movie.

It is being concluded from the movie’s title that she would be playing 12 characters based on 12 zodiac signs but nothing has been announced officially. The movie is based on the novel Kimball Ravenswood which is written by Madhu Rye, a US resident.

Considering the series of flops being delivered by Piggy Chops, we hope this different movie gives a lift to her career. She also has Drona lined up which has Abhishek Bachchan opposite her. It is believed that Drona might also prove to be a big hit of the year. Lets wait and watch.

Jade Goody and Shilpa in Bigg Boss

Since the time Big Boss has its trailers have started appearing on air, it has sure gained the maximum publicity.

The first time was when Shilpa Shetty was offered a whopping 8 crores for hosting the show. It was believed that as she has won the international version of the show, she would do justice of being the host and thus she settled down for a very heavy price.

Then, there was a lot of shout here and there, who is going to enter the disastrous house. It was announced that Mika and Sheryl Chopra are some of the contestants but when the introductory episode was shown, neither of the two were there but a special guest, Jade Goody, famous for her racist comments that she passed on Shilpa at the UK version Big Brother.

The story is about the Palace where suspicious things take place but it is not the copy cat of Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Mimoh is getting few more roles in his upcoming movies because his father is his god father in Bollywood, he is a good dancer but worst actor of his generation. Even Rajpal Yadav is far better actor than Mimoh.

Wake up Sid hindi movie

Karan Johar is all busy these days with umpteen projects in his hands. And what is more than visible is that he has left his superstitious belief in the letter “K”. While his next film Dostana starts with D, the other one is Wake Up Sid, starting with W. The movie is being directed by Ayan Mukherjee, who is supposedly Kajol’s cousin. This will be his first directorial venture at the tender age of 24 year. The main star cast of the film includes Ranbir Kapoor, whose film Bachna Ae Haseeno was just tagged as a hit, and Konkana Sen Sharma. The movie will be made under the banner of Dharma Productions.

Although, Ranbir and Konkana’s jodi is some thing very uncommon and looks incompatible, but its heard that the script demanded it for it’s an urban love story.

Recently, Karan was in with the gossip mongers claiming that he and Ekta Kapoor were in a relationship. Although he shunned away all such rumors, it would have been sure a fascinating Jodi, I must say….
