Mallika Sherawat’s prices falls

Recently Mallika had two back to back failures i.e. Ugly Aur Pagli and Maan Gaye Mughal-E-Azam and this have brought Bollywood Actress Mallika Sherawat's soaring market price down!

A source revealed, "She had begun quoting 1 to 1.5 crore per bollywood film post the success of Welcome. She was expecting both Ugly Aur Pagli and MGMA to become hits but well fate had something else in store for her.

Not only both these films flopped badly but also got her acting severe criticism from all quarters! This has been a major set back for her in terms of demanding the price she wanted for herself.

Now with these two massive flops in a row, producers are being vary of negotiating any price with her beyond Rs, 75 lakhs. Bollywood Actress Mallika too has been left with no choice but comply with it without being the snooty self that she had been for last few months!"

The source further added, "Mallika was offered a film by Zee Group to be directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia few months back. It was a solo lead role and Mallika had quoted Rs. 1.5 crore as her acting fees.

That time the Zee officials decided to take some time to come back to her as the script too was yet to be completed. But now just a few days back. The Zee guys went back again with a complete bound script to Mallika.

It is learnt that they both have mutually agreed on a price of Rs. 75 lakhs for the bollywood film. The shooting for the film will begin in 2008 end."

Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam: Movie Review

Looks like Mallika Sherawat’s tryst with Bollywood is going all topsy turvy. First the disastrous Ugly aur Pugly and now the unbearable Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam, its time the sultry damsel thinks before signing on the dotted line.

Mallika plays the character of Shabnam who is an actress in a Goan drama company. She enacts the role of Madhubala on stage every day and is an aspiring actress who dreams of taking up the place of Jaya Bachchan. His husband, being played by Paresh Rawal, is an oldie, who plays his father in law, Akbar in the daily stage shows. Then enters Arjun, played by Rahul Bose, who falls in love with the staged Madhubala and there comes an item song.

The story continues to reveal that Rahul is a police agent in disguise who wants to team up with the drama company to catch an ISI agent, played by Kay Kay Menon. He is hiding from every one by posing in the disguise of a singer. And the senseless movie continues there after. There is only one thing that hits my mind after watching the film…..Awful!!!!

My stars: 1.5/5

Ugly Aur Pugly - hindi movie

With a attractive subtitle “99 slaps and 1 kiss”, the movie sounded and seemed quiet fresh and different offering a new script but it seems the expectations or we should say, the over expectations of the audiences have been completely shattered in yet another lack of script loser movie at the box office this week.

The movie starts with the introduction of Ranvir Shorey as an ugly loser failing his engineering college over and over again. His encounter with a boozer female, Mallika Sherawat at the railway station gives a hope of an interesting start, but as the movie proceeds, a clear discrepancy in the story line is visible. Though the movie at times, is funny, and manages to keep you engrossed but at times, even competent actors like Ranvir and Mallika fail to keep you in your seat. The music score is good enough and the situations created, though seem crazy, but help you stick to you chair for the two hours movie, like Mallika movie in the college wearing her undergarments on her clothes. Mallika and Ranvir come out as true winners or should we say the saviors of the flick.

Where Ranvir manages to act like a complete loser who has fallen head over heels in this drunkard lasses’ love, Mallika shows one of her best performances to prove her acting skills.

I would rate the movie as an average flick which might win audiences in the first week but would fall flat after a while

My stars: 2/5

PS.: Mallika’s script writing fascination in the movie is cute and describes her “Woman is Great” attitude.

Go watch it if you are getting bored and do not have any thing else to do.

Paresh Rawal - The Virgin Goat

After proving his stoutheartedness in Bollywood, versatile actor Paresh Rawal is now getting ready to do his first international film.

It's name will be The Virgin Goat. It is a lovely script. I play a villager who is taking his goat-on-heat for mating. It's entirely the story of my testimonial.

It's rumoured that Paresh Rawal has asked for an exorbitant amount of money for the character.

"Gladden believe me, I'm asking for less than I get. I'm not comparing my price to what extras get. I'm only charging more as compared with what I used to superintendence earlier."

Boney Kapoor openly told me once that I charge too small-minded. Sometimes I ask for more than I typically would just to fob off unwanted projects.

The multi talented actor had been in the news for his remarks on Mallika Sherawat who shows his wife in Sanjay Chhel's Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam.

The two got along like a domicile on fire during the shooting of the film and Paresh made the classic statement on the settles of Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam, Mallika is largely responsible for global ferventing.

Laughs Paresh Rawal, Ha, I did say that. I don't renounce it, but only as a joke. I'm constantly temporary quips on the sets. And this was one of them. Limited did I experience that it would be the consult of the town! I've unprejudiced landed in Mumbai and everyone is seeking me backwards it.

Director Anees Bazmee’s forthcoming movie Welcome has two sexy and hot actresses with triplet of Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar. Yeah! We are talking about Katrina Kaif and Mallika Sherawat. Hot and bold Mallika Sherawat and Katrina Kaif are working together in comedy movie Welcome and certainly it’s a rivalry situation also between them for her roles in the film.

Even there is nothing unusual for bollywood industry because it’s a common factor there when two stars act together a little ego problem begin between them. In this way they comment each other and show their superiority over themselves. Therefore Mallika Sherawat tries to copy Katrina’s outfits and hair style and Katrina copy her glamorous image.

Except all above if we watch the film’s promos we can say that Mallika in the film for give a glamorous and sexy looks and other side Katrina Kaif in the film with the lead hero Akshay Kumar and just did few songs. Mallika considers herself as a lead actress in the film but Katrina says she is with the lead actor and so she only the lead heroine of the film.
