Mandira Bedi will now dance on silver screen

After all her anchoring and acting conspiracies, be it on the small screen or at the commentary boxes, Mandira Bedi is game to try her hand at dancing now. Though she has never been a part of a reality dance show as a contestant, and calls herself a bad dancer, but the cricket freak is expecting that her fans are going to like her performance which is a dancing act to be performed for an Independence day show to be aired on Star plus.

Though this would not be the first time her fans are going to witness her shake her booty as she was seen dancing in the 1995 super blockbuster Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge on the beats of Mehendi Laga ke Rakhna song along with Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol.

An all excited Mandira, when enquired about her interest in doing an item number replied the clichéd that if a big banner and a good project comes her way, she would surely be game for it.

As her last Bollywood release, Dus Kahaniyan did not do wonders for her at the Box Office; Mandira has high expectations with her upcoming, cricket oriented movie titled “Meera Bai Not Out” by Pritish Nandy where Anil Kumble does a small stint too.

Coming what she is best at, Mandira has just replaced Ravi Kishen as an anchor in the show, “Ek Se Badhkar Ek” being aired on Zee TV and shuns off the idea of being part of the long and stretched soaps being made these days but still owes everything to a similar show, Shanti which was her launchpad, though for her, it was some show which was not unrealistic and unstretched like today’s soaps.
