As it goes- Anything for work, Manisha Koirala is all set to potray the character of an eighty year old woman in the award winning director, Jahnu Barua’s next film which is yet to be titled.
Jahnu Barua, who made the mind blowing film Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara, starring Urmila and Anupam Kher, is at present busy in completing the Shiney Ahuja starrer Har pal. After wrapping up with Har Pal, he is slated to start with the next one. He is basically an Assamese filmmaker with the following awards in his stride:
National Film Award For Best Direction in 1995 for Xagoroloi Bohu Door
National Film Award For Best Direction in 1988 for Halodhia Choraye Baodhan Khai
Fribourg International Film Festival- Audience Award and Award of the Pestalozzi Children's Village Foundation in 1996 for Hkhagoroloi Bohu Door
Locarno International Film Festival- Prize of the Ecumenical Jury in 1988 for Halodhia Choraye Baodhan Khai.
